The fairies will be visiting our house again tonight...

Three of my nieces came for a sleepover tonight, and after everyone was ready for bed they decided to leave some honey milk and gifts for the flower fairies out in the flowerbed before they turned in... Six sweet voices sang so beautifully "Flower fairies come to us" as they carefully chose a secluded spot nestled between the blooming Azalea bush and Lilly of the Valleys to place their gifts.

In return, the flower fairies have left a gift of their own - fairy dust filled little log boxes and a deerskin sachet to put the fairy dust in to wear. Tim made the little log boxes, while I sewed up the deerskin sachets and mixed up a batch of fairy dust...all done super quietly so that the sleeping children didn't awaken to catch us red-handed as we spun a fairy tale full of little winged friends who flitter among the flowers for them.

Magic was made tonight...
